Hello, I am off to Rhodes next weekend for a week and was wondering if anyone knows where I can find the best beaches, i.e. sandy, quiet, scenic, clean water, etc. I'm staying in Ixia but will have a car so can access anywhere on the island.
Any help would be much appreciated!
Tsambika beach is sandy as is Faliraki. Both are long clean beaches. St. Agathi is fabulous, sandy and you can walk out for ages without getting out of your depth. Have a great holiday.
Ixia is a stoney beach, when we've been there the sea is a bit choppy - this part of Rhodes, the Aegean coast, tends to be shingle/pebble and a bit breezy. Popular for watersports (windsurf etc). Sandy tends to be on the southern (Mediterranean) side of the island.
Thanks for the advice guys...I guess it's a case of head south for the sand!
