What are the differences you find between Goan beaches and other beaches in India. I have been to Mumbai beaches, some beaches in Kerela, Vizag in the south (Bay of Bengal) and Carbon's Cove beach in Port Blair (Andaman & Nicobar Islands, absolutely beautiful).
Most of these beaches (particularly the ones in Vizag and Port Blair) are beautiful - but they all lack the magic of Goa. I think it's the people and the history of Goa, the food and the music in the air...and its C H E A P
....
So, where are you going next time and why ?
When you say Goa is C H E A P , surely all these other destinations in India are cheap also?
About 18 kilometers from Trivendrum, there is Kovalam beach and many new beaches have opened in the past that are getting popular. Details are available in http://www.incredibleindia.org.
However, Goa is Goa at the end of the day...nothing can beat Goa in the whole of India, for its people, food, booze, beaches, laid back lifestyle and the general atmosphere...
Cheers!
Aj.
