Hello everybody. Have just booked holiday with my wife and toddler to the bellevue apartments in Alcudia spetember 20 to the 27th 2009, anybody going at the same time?. what is the place like?

Not sure which travel company you are going to the Bellevue apartments with but my sister is due to go this saturday (25th July) for a 2 week All Inclusive stay and she has just been informed that Thomson's have pulled out of this hotel due to Health and Safety reasons - it may be all ok by the time you go in September.

Hi Paula. Has your sister been offered an alternative hotel?

Yes they have been offered the Club Pionera in Santa Ponsa. Its not as big a complex as the Bellevue and they are not sure what it is like but didn't really have chance to look into it when the travel agents only told them a week before they go.

I think that the rooms have air conditioning which is a bonus as the rooms at the bellevue dont apparently.

I'm heading to bellevue in aug & have just got my hol tickets. I am travelling with Thomas Cook. They have not made us a ware of any H&S prob. i have read that there was a fire there a few months ago & there was no alarms. Does anyone know what has been flagged up as a problem I'm wondering if I should contact Thomas Cooks???? :(

They were going with Thomson and literally got a phone call 1 week prior to travel with the information that they were pulling out.

Thomson and First Choice are not operating there for now. I contacted the press office and they confirmed this was the case as Bellevue did not meet the standards they require. Not aware that Thomas Cook are affected.

I am going here on Friday for a week all inclusive and the operator has not mentioned anything about a fire or and damage can anyone fill me in as I am a bit worried now.

There were two fires in the two Minerva blocks. They were started deliberately. I would not be concerned. They are a matter under investigation, and a repeat would be highly unlikely. Sorry, can't tell you more, but really I wouldn't worry.

Ok thank you that makes me feel better. Just hope the hotel is not as bad as some of the reviewers say it is!

We have stayed there three times with our grand children and have always had great holidays.

Been here twice self catering and never had a problem. Infact we loved it!
I think we were in Lido apps which were close enough to the big pool with the bar. (some pools don't have a bar). I prefered it in that block as you could get to the entrance easier. I could imagine it could be a ten minute walk just to get to the gates if you're in one of the blocks further back!

We've been several times with the grandchildren and they love it. Yes its getting a bit shabby but you're only there for a holiday, not buying an apartment. There's plenty for kids to do. If I remember right the AI apartments are near the entrance and also near the lake, which has a good boat service to the beach, best beach in the area.I'm sure if you read reviews before you book anywhere there will always be someone who hates the resort, hotel etc!!!
