hi going to benalmadena in march for a week.
would like to know if all the bars would be open that time of year.
also what would the weather be like?
thanks in advance.
It was pretty quiet the week we were there but we found enough bars and eateries to keep us going. We're going to La carihuela (between Benalmadena and Torremolinos) in the middle of April this year so we're hoping that the weather will be just as good or even a bit warmer.
Hopefully you'll get some great weather, we've just returned from Benalmadena yesterday and it's been clear blue skies shorts and t shirt weather while we were there, though it was a bit chilly on shaded streets.
Not sure where you'll be billetted but could I recommend Legends in Bonanza Square... very friendly and especially good for sports watching
The forecast is for the weather to pick up again over the coming weekend, so hopefully you will get it nice when you are here. I would suggest a cardigan / sweater / light jacket for wearting at night though, as it can still get a bit chilly when the wind blows in over the mountains.
As for bars and restaurants, most places are now opened for the season, especially along the Paseo Maritimo and in the Marina. Where will you be staying?
Have a great time Jay Jay & many thanks for popping in
Thanks Glynis. Going back in April - just after the Easter mayhem and ridiculous flight prices - so should get some warmer weather then.
We're off to Carihuela in June
Lovely Glynis, I'm sure you'll like it there. I've got 26 days to go before we touch down on the Spanish coast La Carihuela, here we come.
Hope you got good flight prices Shirley. I was quoted over £300 from Glasgow for that week, so decided to go seven days later instead. The savings will buy us a couple of nice meals at the Marina.
Jay I booked back in July last year and think I got a good price. The return flights cost us £315 total for 2 of us (including 18kgs luggage). Only drawback about booking that early is that our flight times have changed and we now aren't departing until gone noon wheras I booked the flight departing at 7am Never mind, just a few hours later and we're gaining on the last day as our flight home is also later.
Those prices are good. Hope you have a great time when you are there.
We boked on 5th January, to fly out on 26th April £273 that's with pre-booked seats, and 22kg luggage for 2 of us.More than happy with that price..........
We'll be taking a walk or two into Benalmadena whilst holidaying in la Carihuela. The last time we were there we only ventured as far as the Marina. Can anybody point me in the right direction for some bars and restaurants in the main part of benalmadena. What I need to know really is whether there is a main area for 'life' or is it all spread out over many streets?
