Hotel Avenida!
Best Regards - Taggy
Can recommend the hotel Maderia Centro which sits right in the centre of the old town. We have stayed there four times and would have returned on 20th October but it's fully booked.

I would also recommend the MadeiraCentro, but would describe it as being on the edge of the Old Town, rather than right in the centre of it.

Could anybody please give me some pointers to bars to visit in the old town for a really good night. I have been to Benidorm many times but for some reason have never visited the old town in the evening.
It was probably helped that Howard Kendall, ex Everton Manager, came in to our company and he was hilarious as he was 3 sheets to the wind at that point.
Chris plays the piano and Barry sings old music hall songs. Doesn't sound like my kind of thing at all and we only went as we had been for a meal at the restaurant. It turned into a very good night and something a bit different.

Thanks I will try that
Have just come back from a great week in Benidorm.
Our favourite pub in the Old Town is the Pig & Whistle on Calle Pal, 50's & 60's music and a real friendly atmosphere. Across the road is The Rich Bitch and further along is Kafe Klee - both have cabaret (drag) and is a really good laugh.
We found a really nice bar call Bar Acuario - we went there quite a few times it has views to die for right across the bay - its in the Old Town on the road up to the Magpies Nest (entrance just one road back from the sea front).
Hope this helps

Can anyone recommend some bars to visit in the Old Town I am going in June. I have been to the Rich Bitch ect but would like to try some of the small bars.Any idea's ?
We enjoyed the company in Haggars, a small bar with good measures, frequented mainly by locals. Nothing on there just a nice bar.
When there last October the Music hall had closed and I believe that the two palms as closed now.
Music Hall is now called a bar called Roxys, Two Palms has closed down. Michael that used to be the chef, has his own restaurant just up the road from where Two Palms was originally. It's called Michael's (original!!!)
queens hotel is a good night on caberet night friday and sunday i think, its facing tappers alley
Michael's has a lovely menu del dia for 10 Euros with a big selection of dishes. Well worth a visit.
if you like that sort of thing im sure its a good show but if you dont then dont bother going.
if somebody recommended it to me and i didnt know i would feel as if i had a wasted journey as its not my thing at all
Carmel, I agree with you about the view to die for in the bar Acuario, we always try to have a drink there when in the old town. The bar used to be part of the aquarium at the end of your visit you ended up in the bar( better than a gift shop) but sadly the aquarium has now closed.
Vincents bar is always a good night. Good food there too. Mind you, Benidorm is a lot quieter this year.
Hi Ron, nice to have you on here. Big quieter than Benidorm Spotlight. Love the jokes. I post as Benibel on spotlight. Don't post much but read loads. Looking forward to a week in Beni end of October.
Hi Anne, thanks for the info, sorry we'll miss you. We go in 2 weeks time. Staying in the Avenida hotel.
