The area will be full of golfers and so all the bars and such are full of men!! If thats your thing then perfect!!
Flight time is around 2 and a half hours from most UK airports so a nice quick flight.
The pools will be too cold to use. I did jump in one once in March and it was freezing!!
We also went to the Canaries in March and this was good as well.
Good luck
reliable sun in March, then the Canaries are hard to beat; Cyprus and Malta, from experience, perhaps not as warm ( and a distinct lack of good beaches in Malta )
Never been to Tunisia, theres a lot of half board holidays at reasonable prices.
I'm biased, but to me, whatever you're looking for in a holiday, Tenerife can provide it; the only slight downside is the four hour flight - but it's worth it.

Cyprus will have lovely weather in March. Im sure it will be warm, maybe just need a cardigan on a night. Paphos will be your best bet....... Protaras/Ayia Napa "shuts down" over winter until it starts to reopen in April. xx
......yes, will agree with you that Paphos is the best bet in Cyprus...we liked it a lot, especially those marvellous roman mosaics......but IMHO, in general, the weather will be better in the Canaries in March......
We always have some winter sun in march, and we also do not like long haul.
Madeira has an exellent climate all year round , but no beaches to speak of , so pick a hotel with a good indoor and outdoor pool rthat way your couvered if you have a few days cooler , we found it went up to 25 and othere times as low as 15 degres.pleanty to see and do , but more for couples over 40 , no real brit bars , but a very relaxing place to chill out and get some sun.
We also did lanzarote , as its a quieter sort of island , again similar temps but can be windy , a villa with a pool can be found from £350 a week and book flights on internet.best to have a car , very easy to get a round , and some parts are quite lively .
This year we did Tunisia all inclusive is recommended as there are some fine hotels with great service at good prices , not lts to see , but again depends where you say . we had a hotel on the beach and you could just swim in it if your a little brave and the outdoor pool was fine , a good place to chill out around the pool for a week rread a frw books and get a nice tan in march, most hotels do some entertainment.
Check out the reports on HT there is some great advice about all places , and that will help you a lot .

Great hotel, amazing beach, great weather, 5 hours flying time.

Cannot recommend it highly enough!

We are planning again now for next march , it looks stunning and exellent value, just over a grand for two all inclusive in march .
Whats the snag LOL.
We couldn't fault it and just look at that beach and the sea! Hotel is right on the beach, oh I'd go back tomorrow if I could, it was the best holiday I've ever had.
We took our 16 year old Son and 14 year old Daughter, as well as her best friend, they all thoroughly enjoyed it too.

As long as its not to hectic for an old guy like me Pippy LOL
No, it isn't hectic at all, it's very laid back, great place to chill
Goa in March, although it is long haul. Weather is hot, food is nice, everything is so cheap.
Sounds like a Baaaaaagain

Gambia in March is a great option. I've been there 3 times at this time of the year. The flight time is indeed only about 6 hours. The temperature averages around 80 degrees every day, but the added bonus is that because it is in the African continent, it gets cool at night, so no hot sticky nights with no sleep. However, don't expect it to have the all the amenities of a traditional holiday destination, because it remains a relatively poor African state. Nevertheless, fab holiday...totally relaxing!
agree with pippy - it has to be the red sea - i believe its hot all year round there - we are going end march for 2 weeks to the Hilton sharks Bay and im expecting it to be hot!!!
Is different to the more well known destinations like the Canaries, not as commercialised and still a poor country.
Lovely people though and great for guaranteed sunshine and a totally relaxing winter break.
Would also recommend Sharm el Sheikh aswell. Not been in March but believe the weather is good then. Fantastic food and again lovely people. Great for the diving/snorkelling aswell.
