I have never seen a bookies in Denia although they seem to have everything else there, including bingo, sex and marijuana shops. Sounds quite seedy doesn't it? I'll double check with locals next time I'm there (about a month from now). How soon do you need to know?

generally he's happiest when theres sport so if i take him over in the footie season i need to know good venues to watch matches, if its horse racing season he would refuse to come unless there was a place for a wee bet. honestly!!

I'll check out pubs/venues for watching football too. Another alternative as far as the horses -what about online betting. I know of at least three internet cafes in Denia.

You can have a bet at Bar Chicago/ The Flying Handbag on Calle Lepanto next to Sandra bar, a few stides from the Square. They also have a snooker table and a free pool table too.
