Book it xmas will be busy and new year will be busy, if not with Brits it will be with Indians from Mumbai and Delhi.

That seems a fairly good price for Xmas and New Year, especially if it is not with Monarch.

As an aside ......... there are 7 of us going out on 29th November. The other couples who usually go, went to Thailand earlier this year instead and didn't think they'd see Goa this year. Then ... one of our friends is a Travel Agent and he rang saying he had 1 weeks B&B for £102, or 2 weeks B&B for £206 leaving today (Mon 3'rd Nov). (This was last Friday by the way).

They unfortunately couldnt find a Visa surgery open on the Saturday this was after they'd left umpteen messages with the number that is on VF Services homepage, but to no avail.

Point being, we may take a punt on spending £40 each getting a Visa next year, and wait until the last minute to book. Its always a gamble, but one that seems to pay off for the vast majority.

We booked in February and obviously got the hotel, date, flight etc we wanted. Going in 12 days time there are no flights left without driving another 140 miles round trip to another airport, couldn't get the same cheap pre booked airport car park, choice of only 3 hotels and none where we want to be.
Currently we would have "saved" £30 on the price we paid for two.
That's not to be said there are not any last minute bargains to be had but you risk disappointment and wasting more than you save..

Thanxs everyone

Looks like we are going to book this week. It has gone down slightly £650 flying on the 28th Dec from Manc staying at the Somy, still a bit worried about this hotel though, stayed in the MD last time which was fine. but coz I book for another family I always feel resposible if things go wrong :(

Any more info on the Somy.

I will have to start looking at the meet dates now :tup Where exactly is the Carvery, hope this doesnt end up like the Flyods thread.

Cheers :cheers
