hi there
have flights booked for Portugal 11th Sep - 15th Sep which is 4 nights.
Looking about for accomodation and fancying staying in a 4 star hotel half board so at least i know meals are taking care of and only money needed is for drinks.
Prices in hotels are still quite high (around £45-50 a night Per person) - dont really wanna spend £200 for 4 nights stay. there seems to be LOADS of availability and plenty of options.
anyway my question is - has anybody ever waited till the dying days to book accom and got it at a good price? way i thought it might work is a hotel would rather have a room with occupancy than an empty room? My budget is around £140 per person for the 4 nights (£35 per person per night) which i think is quite reasonable.
Would like to here if anybodys "got lucky" so to speak.
If it all goes t*ts up then we can get self catering apartments for £60 per person so not too worried. Just cant afford the £200+ price thats currently kicking around
Are you bothered which area?
Just want to be reasonably close to the nightlife but not right on top of it - maybe a 10 min awlk away?
Oh sorry - Albefuria (sorry bad spelling i know)
Have you looked at any there?
(People think that area is in the back of beyond when actually
it's only a 5-10min walk to the bottom [beach] end of the Strip.)
Good luck, hope you get sorted.
