Have a look at today's Guardian report:

I really wouldn't have thought that Boots needed to spend £2m on an advertising campaign - the Horizon programme has done it for them!
Well i got some this morning, but as i sat having a coffee opposite boots they started taking down the posters so i presum they had sold out,and this was by 10.30
I got some this morning too - the shop staff opened early when they realised that people were turning up well before 9.00am. They'd decided that it is was better to open up at 8.40 and deal with people as they arrived rather than end up with a large queue and a scrum to get hold of it. It wasn't on the open shelves but under the counter!
As an example as to how quickly it is being sold, I have just been onto the Boots online website. I put one bottle into the basket and by the time I went through to checkout a message appeared to say that there was none left. It tooks seconds for it to disappear.
We had the same fuss a couple of years ago when Johnsons Holiday Skin came out, and now you can get it everywhere, along with lots of other brands of a similar lotion.
Everywhere is now sold out and wont be back in stock until next Thursday morning sp i believe. It was manic with boots in Edinburgh opening at 5.30am!!
But I went into our local Boots in the high street today and was met with a huge queue, we only live in a village!!!!! I got what I wanted and went to the queue and asked what they were queueing for? A lady said a miracle cream, oh I said.
The I wandered to the front of the queue and walked to the back looking at the women, well, if these were previous users of the product, I wouldnt like to have seen them before!!!!!
Even the shop assistant said, she had been using it for over a year and nobody had commented!!!!!!
When you think that this was on sale for ages before the Horizon programme went out I begin to wonder where all the people are who used it before!
Well i've used it twice so far and although i wont be able to see any results for a while my skin does feel alot smoother
I've been using it for 3 days now and cant believe i,m saying this, but my skin feels smoother and the 'dodgy/dry/red' looking areas on my face have faded a bit - i am going to keep using it to see if it gets even better!

Well, I'm one of them. I've been using it for months and was most put out when it became hard to obtain! It doesn't work miracles but it's definitely improved the texture of my skin, the pores are less noticeable and while it hasn't completely eradicated all the wrinkles it definitely 'lifted' the deepest furrows between my brows over the course of the first month I was using it so they did became less noticeable. And I was complimented on how well I looked by a number of people! All of which probably does count as close as you'll get to a miracle after all the years of sun abuse my skin suffered in my youth :-) No7 is now launching a new product 'Refine and Rewind' serum which is actually supposed to be even better than P&P for the more 'mature' skin and I'll probably switch over to that when it comes out.
Also, I've lot quite a bit of weight over the last 18 months and the skin under my chin was definitely getting 'baggy' and I don't know if it's the P&P or their uplifting moisturiser (I use both) which has done the trick or just the passge of time and the massaging in of the stuff but the skin on my neck is distinctly less saggy than it was.

But I can't resist giving it a go, so will be visiting boots regularly until I get some.
A girls got to try
I received the Refine and Rewind serum (small version) in a free gift set some time ago, I haven't tried it yet but will now, though it's going to have to work really hard to do anything positive to my ancient skin.
I went shopping in town yesterday and went into boots and got some. I had to get in a queue for a couple of mins get a raffle ticket anld i got 3 for 2 the serum and some face and eye cream you could even use £5 off skincare voucher all of that for £30 they wouldnt let you walk round store said it would get nicked!
Just an update been using this for a week and so has my mum and to be honest dont know what all the fuss is about. plus since found out boots paid horizon to test this product it was in the paper
I have been using Refine & Rewind for two weeks now and think it is better than the Perfect & Protect as it is thicker and richer than the P&P.
I was actually thinking that the other day. If the protect and perfect 'does what it says on the tin', then it's quite likely that other No 7 products are also highly effective compared with other more expensive makes. I do like their stuff but I only really have them as gifts in sets at Xmas etc.
I probably will do as she suggests because I've been using the handcream from that range for about 2 weeks now - just once a day last thing at night - and the age spots on the back of my hands have already faded quite a bit.
RE Boots paying the scientist featured on the Horizon programme I understood that she'd been paid by the makers of the programme to test a range of products on their behalf and that she dismissed the claims of most products but did endorse the Boots stuff as the only one that made an appreciable difference.

The Boots website had P & P available this afternoon.
