There was no shortage of tour operators doing a 7 day tour of Sabah wildlife but i couldn't find anyone who did all the things i wanted to do INCLUDING the danum valley conservation area. Magic of the Orient was the only operator who i could find that offer this and quite reasonable it was too.
Wanted to stay the night before the tour started in the Tanjung as-well, but after emailing the reservations co-ordinator he couldn't offer me the reduced 3+ nights rate for that single night at the start of the tour (even though i was staying 5 nights wshen you added it altogether). So instead of the £80 for that one night's kip i'm paying £38 at the Hyatt Regency in KK and getting pikced up from there instead
Was really excited until i watched that blasted Austin Stevens programme the other night. It just happened to be in Borneo and the self proclaimed "snake man" was searching out one of theonly man eating snakes in the world - the 40ft reticulated python! I almost crapped myself when i saw the kinabangtan river as obviously this is part of where our tour goes hahaha. he also highlighted the spitting cobra which can kill you instantly with one bite, or the venom can blind you if you get it in your eyes when it spits at you! He was trying to wrestle with this bloody python though, absolute nutcase hahaha!
