Boxers are clearly looser & therefore cooler but they can get 'scrunched' up and it's a bit of a challenge to do a quick rearrange when jammed into the seat on the plane (standing up in the aisle to have a quick rummage is clearly a no-no), and, of course we can't go in the loo cos the queue is 10 deep and everyone is taking 5 mins plus

Y-fronts are more 'restrictive' and it can all get a bit too hot downstairs but at least they stay in place.
Or option 3. Wear no pants, cool, free, no tangling up........ but a bit of a pain at security when you forget your belt is in the scanner and your jeans slide down your legs
