its a joke when thomson and FC can have 2010 on the web and TC and DH can't

I dont know what Thomsons are doing but it seems for Cape Verde/Sal the only flights are from Gatwick,what about the North of the Uk dont we count??????.Why do they mess about every year with the flights.Could be that not all the updates have been done as yet. Ups showing Birmingham now ???

first choice cheaper than thomas cook on holidays I am checking

I booked my first DIY end of last week as I got so frustrated playing this waiting game with the Tour Ops. I haven't been able to stop myself from looking this morning though. Just priced up my holiday on First Choice and the price they want is £2769, this is for SC, 2 ad and 2 ch in a 2 bed apt in Menorca end July/beginning of August. Have paid £780 for flights (inc baggage, prebooked seats etc) and £1100 for a privately owned apartment on the same complex. So I am quite 'happy' with the prices I've seen so far Hope you all get something sorted soon

I just booked verbally with DH to RD - they took the discount that I would've got with Quidco off the price. I agree its very frustrating - I hope I did the right thing!!!! They were quoting a lot less than the quote I got yesterday from TC! I also upgraded to a suite.

Chris what number did you use for direct, all I can get now is a 044 number.

I used the number on their website - I spoke to a lovely lady by the name of Kim and she gave me her email address. That's how I got it sorted so quickly.

thomas cook have cancelled all flights from Glasgow to CDS next year, so I need to pay £90pp flight supplement plus 3 hours travelling to airport PLUS fuel to get to the airport so I can fly from Newcastle! There's no Scottish flights to CDS at all next year!

Well we've just got back from booking our holiday! £1080 2 weeks s/c to Stalis Crete May next year inc insurance with excess waiver, meals & prebooked seats. Booked it through TC & it's a Thomson holiday, just priced it up on Thomson's website & the price has gone up over £200 since this morning so i'm glad we booked when we did.

I was pleasantly surprised a few mins ago when I priced up a holiday for 2 adults with Thomson. I've fancied the property for a while so it's now on my shortlist. No I'm not going to tell you which property as you'll pinch it from under my nose I'll just say it's on one of the Greek islands and the excellent news is that it's available from Cardiff - my local airport It's still a little more than I want to pay but not as bad as I thought it would be (as this is the first day it's on sale). I'm going to do a lot more research before booking. I've also noticed I can get cashback on it from Quidco

Sorry yeah forgot to put, 2 adults & 2 kids (9 & 5), we thought it was a very good deal so we didn't bother going round to the other TA's to compare prices we just booked there & then. We did price it on the website this morning before we went & it was coming up at £1083 so we actually got it cheaper than the internet price.

well i'm going to my local TC at 3.30 because I am shocked to say the least!! Someone from TC phoned me at 8.20am this morning to price my holiday - 2 adult + 1 child to CDS for 1 week next June, 4* HB basis - £1300, free child space. No flight from Glasgow showing on the system so the girl said she'd phone products department at 9am and phone me back. Different girl phoned me back at 11.50am and confirmed that there are no scottish airports available to fly to CDS next year and my closest is Newcastle (price earlier was for flying for Newcastle aswell) so she ran through the quote again and this time its £1636 with no free child...IN THE SPACE OF 3 HOURS!!!!!!!

So I'm not at all amused, also, the brochure price is £549 per adult and then flight supplement on top, price I got on the phone was £604 per adult and then flight supplement on top.

Also, the discount applied dropped from £133 at 8.30am to £82 at 12noon...HOW?!

Someone at TC has alot of explaining to do with regard to why the brochure says adult price is £549 but its actually £604...I can see the point if the brochure had been available for weeks and the prices changed but jesus give us at least a day with the brochure price!!!!

Also inconsistent quotes...bit of a problem for those of us who have to transfer money from another bank account for the deposits if when we go to book we discover its went up by £300 in 3 hours haha!!!

AND...I can't get an online quote to compare my two phone quotes to because the hotel I've been quoted for isn't on the website yet!! Jeezzzzzzz! Not that its working anyway, when i select get quote it throws a hissy fit and tells me it cannot proceed online!

Wish they'd hurry up and get the darned flights released! My mate who works for Thomson said as far as they were aware they were going on release same day but today they've been told they're not releasing everything together and no confirmation of when they will either. Seems stupid to me!
