According to bgmaps.com route planner, Bryastovets is 22.299 kilometres (just under 14 miles) inland from Pomorie and 23.807 kilometres (just under 15 miles) inland from Nesebar, both distances by road.

Thanks Baldur I have not had much luck concerning the village but it does seem very small, I guess I'll have to let you all know if there are any bars or restaurants there when I get home.

My village (home from home) in North-East Bulgaria is much smaller (under 200 inhabitants in January 2007) currently has a Cafe-Bar/General Store and a part-time village shop (until late 2006, it also had a tavern) but no restaurants or mehanas.

Hi Tanny,

The primary focus in a mehana is drink, with food as a side issue - as opposed to a restaurant's primary focus on food/cuisine with drinks being offered as an ancillary to the meal.

A mehana would be the equivalent of a pub which also serves food in the UK.
