When we last went to Cyprus we were amazed at just how much building work was taking place since we had last been........
....... Im sure it will be even worse this time aswell........ I just hope It doesnt become too over commercialised
Cookie if you think Prot and Pernera are bad you should check out Kapparis. The whole of the main road Kennedy Ave and right doen to the beach there is building going on.
.........It all sounds very sad to me.........
Hi, just to let you know we got back from the Isaac Apartments last night and good news - we didnt hear a thing from the building works the whole fortnight, one day I looked out as I was walking down the stairs and saw a digger but that was it. We had room 403 and our friends were in 303 looking out over the pool, the building works were round the other side but you couldnt hear anything, didnt hear anyone else complain at all either.
Since Bluemax posted his reply on 3rd July, has anyone since returned from Pernera and what is the buildng works like? Anything to be worried about?
Yes, there are some villas being built, but I certainly heard no noise from the Isaac.
My wife thought I was mad taking this photo...click it for a larger version..
Have to add that these works can't generally be seen from the Isaac either, unless you have a room overlooking them directly. I had to go up the road, as you can see, to take the photo.
Hope this helps

Thank you very much. I thought the works mustn't be affecting the apartments much as otherwise more people would have stated this on the forum.
Also I should have pointed out that there are (generally) no building works in the month of August in Cyprus - it's just too hot !
