Nice to see I started a debate about this, my dughter worked for Thos Cook for 4 years as a rep, and she knew straight away what had happened, she seems to think because we booked 2 rooms, (one for us and one for our other 2 daughters) that the hotel then took a booking for 8 peopl 4 in each room which enabled them to loose us but gain another 4 people

Its less than 2 weeks till we go and i now have all the accomodation sorted and the flight tickets arrived yesterday, am looking forward to going and will let everyone know what the hotel is like when i return

Everyone I know who has gone to Turkey this year has had this happen to them, myself included. Seems hotels want to make sure they are 100% occupied and with Turkey being very popular this year because of the Euro it seems most hotels have double booked.
