John you will be fine driving in Menorca. The roads are very good with one main road running from East to West from Mahon to Cuitadella. Nearly all the resorts branch off this road.

As long as you aren't landing in the middle of the night when you may be tired, then the airport car collection should be fine.

We actually plan to get the car for 7 days halfway through our holiday - hence the question about a bus from San Jaime (Son Bou) to Mahon.... Is there one? Otherwise perhaps I will have to look elsewhere for car hire.. Can anyone help on the Bus question?

We are off too Cala n Forcat in May and I wondered if anyone knows if we can get to the Aquarock Water Park by bus.
We have been into Cuitadella by bus before, and I wondered if we can explore the Island by bus from the central bus station there. Any advice please...?? Thanks...Donna

Last summer, I think there was 1 service aday directly to Cala n'Bosch from Cala n'Forcat in the morning and a return in the evening. The bus travels either directly past or very close to the water park.

The central bus station (actually it's more a stopping point) in Ciutadella will allow you transfer to a different bus going to most parts of the island.

The fares were €1.10 per journey last year.

I'm afraid that is not correct there are two bus stations in Cuidadela one is the 'Torres' buses for areas around Cuidadela including Cala D'en Bosc and Cala Forcat on Plaza dels Pins. The other one 'TMSA' with buses to Mao, Cala Galdana and elsewhere is on the Calle de Barcelona near to the Plaza D'Alfons III. The bus timetable from either company shows the locations. Walking it takes about 10 mins.

I stayed in Cala Galdana and did use these buses to reach both places each side of Cuidadela.

can anyone help with the bus service in playa de fornells, going to the capitals, do they run regular etc, and the taxi prices etc, in fact any info about the area regards. fly out on friday
