We are staying at the Maritim Antonine in Mellieha for a week from 20th January. We probably won't go far as we have been to Malta several times before. However we do want to go to Valletta. What are the bus numbers for Mellieha to Valletta and is the so called direct bus much quicker than the normal.
We have usually hired a car on previous trips but do not want to do so this time.
Any other tips for Mellieha much appreciated as we have not stayed in the village before.

As you would expect the church in Mellieha is beautiful and worth a visit, if you are intending to go to the lovely sandy beach be prepared for a bit of a hike back up the hill to your hotel unless you take a taxi or the courtesy bus that the hotel operates in the afternoon.
