I'd be interested in this too please.

We go to Punta Prima (Sur Hotel Menorca) which I realise is a small resort.

My son will be 3 whilst we are there, in June.

Thanks

Hi Again , apologies, but Son Bou is a bit far out for me as I'll be working that (UK Half- Term ) week. If you are staying at a Hotel
they will organize a birthday cake for your daughter. If not, ask at the Supermarket in Son Bou they will probably be able to order one
from the Baker who supplies their bread. If they can't do that ,drive into your nearest town (Alaior) and order, 24 hours in advance, from any cake shop. Price will obviously depend upon the size you want, but approx: 20 euros for a decent sized one.

I'm sure that Hotel Sur de Menorca will gladly organize a cake for you. I'll check when I go for their excellent Buffet Lunch next Sunday, and get back to you.

Thanks llull, abit off topic..but the food is good at the hotel then?

I will ask at the hotel about the cake. It's his birthday 4 days after we arrive so I need to get it sorted when we get there!

There is a lovely bakery in Son Bou near the square and they do fab birthday cakes. They will pipe your chosen name on too. Order a day or so beforehand. HTH

Hi

We get our birthday cakes from the bakery in Sonbou, it's by the medical centre and the diving shop.

They do a lovely selection and they can supply candles prices from about 16 euros.

If you get stuck we send all of our clients to MM reception where if they can't supply you with one they will certainly point you in the right direction.

If you are staying in Cala´n Blanes/Cala´n Forcat, there is a sweetshop called Lolly´s. The girl there is really nice and can order birthday cakes with just a days notice. They are only basic sponge type cakes but really nice and reasonably priced. Hope this helps!

Hi Rach,we had a most enjoyable lunch at 'Sur de Menorca' today. Very popular with the locals which is always a good sign.
I checked with Head Waiter about the birthday cake, as I thought, it's no problem at all. Just tell him your requirements a day or so before and he'll organize it for you.
The weather is glorious, have a lovely holiday.

Hello llull, thank you so much for asking that for me, it's very much appreciated :)

I will ask about the cake when we arrive.

That also sounds very good about the food there, especially as the locals enjoy it!

If you have any other info about the food or resort, I'd appreciate it...you can message me if you would prefer! We go on June 16th so I'm presuming the weather will be nice & warm?!

Many thanks again

Rachel :cheers

Any of the local pastry shops will organise it for you with a days notice. Just tell them what you want and write down what you wish to be written on top.
Have a nice stay

Hi Mary,
We've only been to Hotel Sur de Menorca for the Sunday Buffet. I've heard that the food is not as varied during the week. Have you tried Casa Fermin, a small family resturant on the front at Punta Prima ?

Thanks for reply lull,no we haven't been to that restaurant we normally go to Restaurant Sante( I think thats what they call it)about the second one on the front.Exactly where is the one you stated.About the Sur Menorca I just wanted to establish that anyone could use there dining room.

Regards Mary.

I would recommend Cas Sucrer in Es Mercadal. You can buy there typical cakes and sweets.
