On the flight the airline should hand you disembarkation forms to fill in and hand in to the passport control with your passport. ( The forms for Egyptians and foreigners are different ).
When you get off the plane follow everyone towards the passport control.
Just before the passport control you will see some bank / foreign exchange counters, ( Bank Misr, National Bank Egypt, Bank Alexandria etc etc ).
Go to any of those exchange counters and handover your passport along with the fee required, currently the cost is approx US$ 15 or equivalent in other foreign currency per person.
I would recommend paying with a £20 note per visa you need asking for the change in Egyptian pounds ( and say, please give me a few small notes.... useful for tips ). This way you have some local currency for tips, taxi, first drink etc etc.
You can also exchange your currency in to Egyptian Pounds LE at these banks.
You will then get your visa placed in an empty page of your passport.
Go to the passport control queue.
If there is more than one person travelling than I would suggest that you split up, one peron gets the via stamps placed in the passports while the other(s) join the queue at passport control.
The amount of time it takes depends on the number of planes arriving at any one time.
Sweet and simples....
