Just got back from a great weekend, answers as follows...

a. 47 Euros from airport (night rate) / 40 Euros back (day)
b. There isn't one, you need to phone the local office in Ferreries.
c. Sa lluna it is. Peter and his team are still very welcoming and the food is good. Joseph who used to run downstairs has apparently left after girlfriend trouble (poor, poor Joseph, watcha gonna do...?)
d. Didn't actually try breakfast, but all the restaurants appear to do it.

Must say, it's still as lovely a resort as I remember and the boardwalk across the creek and along the mini-marina is an added attraction since I last went. And the square still seems the best place to go at night for entertainment.

One downside of the resort at the moment is a plague of small brown jellyfish that meant no one was going in the sea, which given it's so nice is a real shame. Hopefully the currents will take them away soon.

Hi Jonah,

My two children had Monday off school as an inset day and we were looking for a break in Devon. However I was quickly put off by the prices of UK guest houses/hotels (about £150/night - room only) and started trawling the net.

The key is to leave everything until last minute and DIY. We booked last Wednesday for a Friday 15th June departure coming back on Monday 18th and got incredibly cheap flights with XL for £33.50 total each.

I then looked at hotels/apartments on Alpharooms and the like and they were coming in at anything between £150 to £400 total. However, I happened to look at the Villas Abroad web site and they had a selection of last minute villas in Binibeca and Cala Galdana with 75%+ off and we selected a very nice 3 bed villa with private pool for just £195.

So the whole break including parking at Gatwick cost less than £350 (plus Menorca taxis and food) for the four of us.

Hi Crockett just to let you know that the jelly fish didn't last long as they had gone by the time we arrived at the Gavilanes later on Monday 18th.
The beach was in pristine condition and there were plenty of people availing themselves of the waters.
