I'm going & stopping in one of the 'B6 Siestas' in a couple of weeks so I'll let you know then - if it's not too late
A BBQ however, is not listed on the inventory for the bungalows.
The B6 Siesta bungalows have 2 bedrooms of around 10' x 10' one has a double bed in it - the other has 3 bunks
In the living area there is a table with bench seats which [I guess] converts into another bed
Small WC/shower room & a small kitchen area with a sink, 2 ring cooker & a fridge.
We had a raised outside decking area with a table & chairs & enough room in front of it all to park the car & dry towels etc.
No BBQ though.
I reckon the whole bungalow was around 25' x 25' with a similar sized pitch outside - all in all - a lot more spacious than your average 6 berth mobile home
HTH
I may be looking for another cheapy at the end of the year (hopefully with Interbrava) and i know they use those B4 bungalows for their superdeals
They don't look luxury, but i'm sure i could put up with it for 7 nights. However, if i enjoyed the site and fancied going there for a fortnight next year, i would have my doubts as they look quite small to spend 14 nights in!!!!

Hello, myself and my family have just arrived back from La Siesta campsite and we were in a siesta exec 4 lodge. The lodge was great - well defined use of space. 1 double bed in one room, two single beds in another room and kitchen space with fridge, gas cooker, microwave, living area with table and seating that converts into another bed - if you really need it. Outside there is a decking area with table, four chairs and two sun loungers as well as a barbecue but you need to buy a bottle of gas which is 10 Euros. There are two pools on the site and the food is very British in style but down the road in the town there are more restaurants to choose from including the Gelpi and Sali(which is very good). That's just over a 5 minute walk. There is entertainment on every night up until roughly 12 midnight. If you go into town at the beach you will have to be back on the campsite before 12 midnight if you are using the bottom entrance/exit but the main entrance is always open but it takes about 15-20 minutes to walk to. Just down from the bottom entrance is the Chinese buffet place that we never tried. We also walked to Llafranc which is lovely. All in all a great experience. All you need is located on the site(the shops on the site are cheaper than in town - supermarket, bakery and gift shop on site). Loads of different kinds of people would enjoy this campsite - from young kids to elderly couples, however if anyone is infirm or disabled then there are lots of hilly areas to contend with. Please feel free to ask any questions and my wife and I will try and answer from our experience there. I would recommend the site to anyone as it is very secure. A very pleasurable experience indeed.
When i asked about the B 4 chalets, it was coming up 'before'
So i'll ask again, has anyone use the B 4 chalets?
Would you recommend it for quite a quiet peaceful holiday (i suppose im comparing with places like Castell Montgri, etc)
Hi, it is quite a quiet campsite and if you like a quiet drink into the wee small hours then you will hear nothing but crickets from about midnight onwards - that's if you are sitting outside on the decking. The village itself is quite busy throughout the day and late on but is really relaxed. The walk to Llafranc is peaceful and scenic. Whether you have children or not, I would recommend going as it is a beautiful place and the weather isn't too bad either
Giving it some serious thought for a week in late September! (pending the wife getting some hols off!)
We used to drive down and stay at La Siesta every year when our children were younger, late eighties, fabulous campsite, and lafranc is lovely and close by.We often say we would like to go back, but its cheaper for us to fly on a package holiday.
We have no kids, but like a quiet place, so i'm sure we'd love it. We also like taking lots of walks, so i think there may be enough to keep us occupied
How did you find the prices onsite - supermarket, food, drink at bars, etc. We've found places like Castell Montgri becoming just a tad over-expensive in recent years (actually, verging on the ridiculous at times!)
We are due to go to La siesta in a couple of weeks staying in an Exec 4.
What are they like and is the position of them on the site good. i think they have air con?, does this work ok. we have booked with siesta holidays .
I have heard good things about the site and are really looking forward to our trip. Any other good tips you have would be appreciated
If we do go, i won't be hiring a car .... how many of those lovely beaches and villages are in walking distance of the campsite at La Siesta (bearing in mind walking distance for me can be a couple of hours! )
I'd like to spend some time exploring if we go, so it would be nice to know the best places to go
Hi...Anyone been in delux 8 lodges on the siesta site...thats what Ive booked for us. Also have read on another site that there is a Mercadonna supermarket not too far off site. If so could imagine the prices would be better there as thats like the tesco the locals use. I used one all the time in Salou. When I booked somewhere else that was one of the first things I asked about on the forums
Also wondering about routines on arrival. Like is it a long haul to take cases to delux 8 lodges, or do they drop them at lodge for you.
Never been there with Siesta, but i'd guess probably on their Estartit timekeeping that it would be sometime between 11am and noon
been to cdp with siesta the coach drops you at the front of the camp think they take your cases but its a fair walk. Callella is a really nice place but not very many English pubs and not very commercialised the beach is very gritty if you like walking take a walk to llfranc its very nice see how the rich and famous live.a nice place to eat is the chinease just outside the camp it was all you can eat for 7 euros but that was about 5 yrs ago hope this helps and i agree with cider monster it is about dinner time you arrive
enjoy your hols Dave
Whats it like safety wise in the area . Are there any problems with pickpockets . Has there been any robberies from the lodges. Are both enterances maned by security. My son will be out and about with his girlfriend are there any problems with the local youths. Are there any places they should avoid.....Wondering again
HI...davykim ...do the Callela DP Siesta coaches drop off any where else, or do they go direct from Calais to Siesta site. Do they use a feeder coach to site from somewhere else.
I'm a newbie to this great looking site & i'm after a little advice .... sorry, i should say a lot of advice on going to Calella de Palafrugell with Siesta holidays in an execute 4.
Its going to be just my wife & i (we are in our mid 30's) & we were hoping to go in September or beginning of October. Looking for something relatively quiet (though not completely dead) & somewhere to enjoy the less commercialised Spain.
The first question ... Is there a big difference between going in September or October in this area with regards to Weather, Shops opening hours, cafes, restaraunts & Bars openings etc etc. Budget is tight & i can save nearly £100 by going 1st week October, but i'm trying to be realistic as want some good weather too.
How busy the site will be this time of year & generally what age group ?? (ie .. lots of children or mainly couples or a mix etc)
If anyone can offer any reviews for going with Siesta Holidays & the journey on one of there coaches .... (takes 22 hours apparantly which is a little worrying as i've never done a coach for that kind of distance )
Whats the accomodation is like ?? The executive 4 looks very nice on paper/internet, but is it as good in the flesh & are they located in a desirable part of the site ??
Next question is, do i drive or go by coach ... has anyone done both that can recommend a preference & how long would the journey it take by car ??
Finally ... is hiring a car recommended & is it expensive ??
i would really appreciate any feedback ... as i say this is very new to us
Many Thanks
Paul
Update : It seems flying is as cheap as any other transport but would need to hire a car at Barcelona airport ... whats best way to do this ??
