So, if there are no bunk beds, what else is different? We had a letter from First Choice letting us know that the Sports Centre was not on site but that we could use one close by. We weren't told of any other differences but we have only booked a standard room (kids aged 1 and 3).
Are there any more discrepancies? We go for first 2 weeks in August so we want to ensure that everythong os OK as we've spent quite a lot of our savings on this.
i am just waiting to hear back from fc, if the beds are not bunk beds i am going to see if i can change my booking.( already looking in the book for ideas) really naffed off as i booked it when the holidays first went on sale.

is there anyone who has stayed in the kids den that can confirm there are bunk beds. ive booked to go next year and now i am a bit concerned that we will not get what we paid for. not that bunk beds are a major prob but would be nice to know. cheers
ps glad you had a nice holiday smurf.
*****just checked reviews on holiday truths and pat said its not bunk beds its a pull out bed. *****
hi mary we stayed at dorada and the amerilla last june 2006. they did not have hair dryers or a iron. well not in the apartments.
thanks i e-mailed fc and they just said same thing. what was weather like when you were there - did you need long sleeves in evening?
Just had a phone call from first choice, and i have been guaranteed that there is bunk beds in the kids dens and the play station deposit is
50 euros, not 200, 130 or any other amount!!!. The pull out bed saga apparently is that the bunk beds have, another bed underneath so it can be used for another child or adult, sounds more like a stacking bed to me but it is definatly a bunk bed and it is as per the brochure according to them and they received this from their resort office.
As to the break'ins i have been told first choice will be finding out tomorrow at the latest what the situation is with security, so fingers crossed that they have pulled theirs out!!!!, and we can all enjoy a stress free holiday, hopefully fly in 43 days!!!!

hi mary we when we went last june it was lovely and hot in the day. But in the evenings it was cooler and we wore long sleeves
oh my god i wasn't taking anything with sleeves!!
dont worry mary its not that cold you will be glad of the cooler evenings after the hot day.
thanks i've put a couple of hoodys in just to be sure. nothing worse than being cold and having nothing to put on.
Can anyone who has been recently just confirm that it isn't just like a glorified Butlins with loads of security issues?
I have a quick question for anybody who has been recently: -
Is the gym open now (it was closed earlier in the year), if so how big is it?
Thanks
Mick.
Mum 22 i have the same worries having read lots of reviews i go 28th june and have paid the same as you. Have just emailed them over security ect lets see what they say.
I have now changed this holiday. Have paid only £388 more to go same time to all inclusive 4 star Holiday Village (had only booked self-catering here). Still same first 2 weeks of August.
How did you manage that? did you go through customer services. They still havent been back intouch.
Then we started reading the bad reviews on here a couple of weeks ago. I called Holiday Hypermarket (we booked through them) and complained about the lack of sports faciities - this way First Choice couldn't charge an amendment fee and were obliged to let us change (more than 30 days till we go) as they had admitted fault. I didn't mention what I'd read on here as they'd cover it up with excuses - I have a tangible reason with the letter I was sent.
Now going to Pegasus Holiday Village which has excellent reviews.
i to read the reviews on here and got worried, but at the end of the day your holiday is what you make it, and the other 32 very good reviews from watchdog cant be wrong.
First choice know about the problem of security and they are doing what they can. I wasnt happy with this hey! have change my holiday 10 days before i am due to go, after plenty of wrangling. I am now off to holiday village majorca happy days. Any one going to caleta have a great time.
