Have had holidays in Spain, France and Italy in the past but have never stopped on the French coast. Taking family and it is son in laws first time touring abroad and he is not keen to travel too far (has not got the bug yet but I'm sure that will change.)
Travelling school holidays, having a couple of nights stopover at euro disney for grandchild.
Looking for a site within 5-6 hours travel south of Paris, near to coastal beach, picturesque area but not too quiet for teenagers. Good sized pitches to accommodate 22ft caravan with 2 bedroom annexes.
so much to choose from, Any suggestions?

a little over six hours will take you to the med coast from Paris or the Atlantic coast
Navigation is easier South than West though from Paris if you go by the Autoroutes
Suggest you look at
http://www.lescampingsdefrance.com/anglais/departement.php?DptID=34 click on a department on the map and it will give you most campsites in that area
With your description don't go for any less than 4 star and pitches of 90m square
