Hi, new here.
Going spring bank week with Cantabrica.Taking 13 year old boy and 2 girls aged 11 and 9. Will be going to Castell Montgri again with Siesta later this summer if you would like to compare.
Anyone been to this site?
Any info would be nice, night time entertainment, trips etc.
Thanks.
hi , travelled to camping solmar in august last year , took our kids age 16 and 11, must stress its a much smaller site than mongri, not alot on site ,but fantastic swimming pool, we had a great time, kids made loads of friends as did we, the campsite has one bar which serves meals which were reasonable but to be honest you can get much better in the town itself, enterainment wasnt up to much but again ,your right in the town ,lots of places to go although blanes was very busy when we were there ,lots of spanish and germans ,some of whom just dont like the english . there s an irish bar ust outside the camp ( turn left and follow the dirt track) great meals and lovely friendly people.
blanes new town is about a 10 minute stroll away and is more upmarket than the old town ,
beach is five mins walk away from the site ,quite shingly and steep just into the sea , need to take care of the little ones , however plenty of water sports on offer, pedalo s ,banana boats ect.not a patch on estartit beach though,
cantabrica lodges are ok too, not 4 star luxury but clean and comfortable with everything you need ,
hope this helps,
if you want any more info just ask.

Not been to that site but have camped at Blanes twice before at La Masia.
If you are eating out give the Bahia Restaurant on the seafront between the rock and the port a try. The food is great and the head waiter is a bloke called Abundio and he is a real entertainer.
