Hi all
Can anyone give me the name of a good quiet campsite in northern france. the campsites we like are the quiet ones with good amenties. it dosn,t need a swimming pool or a bar. can you help cheers Maca
I'm not sure of it's actual name, but if you have a look on the Keycamp website you'll spot it.
It's a beautiful site, nice and peaceful and beautifully kept.

It's probably too far south for you but we stayed at Verdelot to the east of Paris with Eurocamp for 3 nights this summer. It was in the middle of nowhere with no shop, bar or pool, although there is a village shop 5 minutes walk away. It's a beautifully kept site with a lake in the middle for fishing. We used it as a base to take the kids to Disneyland (45 minutes drive) and when we came back at 1.30 in the morningthe sky was incredible. The site is so far from towns etc that the stars were all visible, not just the ones we normally see near towns but all of them.

Just booked with Eurocamp to go to Verdelot for 5 nights then to St Valery for 5 nights August 2007. Using Verdelot for access to Paris and Disney. Anyone been to these sites? Any advice welcome.
The site is a nice size and very friendly... Unfortunately, the weather had changed by the time we arrived there, after almost 2 weeks of temps of around 40 degrees!!!!!! Because of this, we didn't use the site facilities very much, but chose to get out and about in the car instead.
The town of St Vallery is absolutely beautiful - as is many of the sea-side places round about - and of course there are the War-graves etc too...
We stayed in Berney Riviera for our Paris/Disney base.
That site was fantastic (but was accompanied with the very good weather!).
A very large site with loads to do - boating lake, man made beach, very good resaurant/bars and great pools. We loved this site and if it wasn't for the fact that there are so many other places to go, we'd be going back next year!!
