Ixia is not like for example Lindos mainly offered by british holiday packages. There are many more other nationalities holidaying there.

I doubt there will be any other tourists but british (if any) interested in 'our' BB. But then again.. if they have Sky, you can always ask..

Anne, I like BB too, but are you really that bothered about it when your on hol? Isn't just knowing who has been thrown our enough!????

I know I am sad and I would not bother about missing it while on holiday but its missing the last week that will upset me.

I'm sorry to say you will be able to watch BB, Corrie and East Enders in Ixia.
Plenty of the bars on the main road into Rhodes are advertising them.

Innit Sad????

Anne, it's VERY sad, but one bar, near the short stretch of road that goes into dual carriageway, (it's a traffic island really), was showing Emmaroyd and East enders at the same time. The Mythos was great, and the sea view great while the missus wtached.

Hi
I don't watch my soaps while on holiday but if I have watched big brother for twelve weeks its not surprising that I would like to see the final. I know that when the time comes I will probably not watch it as there will be other things to do but at this time I like to know what my options are.
Cheers

Hi

Have a good idea - set the video when you're away or speak nicely to a friend re videoing the bits that you want and then when in Rhodes forget it all and sit with a nice glass of vino or a cocktail and watch the sunset -------

Just avoid all the British bars etc etc and newspapers ------ oh to forget all about life in the UK ----------

Am jealous

Have a great time

PS: Hi Parky - have just read your post I think its put me off going to Ixia for life ---- was torn between Ixia or Lindos for a holiday ---- I think the fact that they advertise the UK soaps out there has stunned me --------- I avoid them here, let alone there!

Last year we went to Evia Island and there was no english speaking TV or papers there. So if you want to escape thats the place to go. Mind you ther was no English menus either.

Snap Presto, I don't even wear a watch or read a newspaper on holiday. Lindos will be a far better place for P&Q but the bars still advertise football and Soaps, but not as bad as Ixia or Faliraki.

Looks like Lindos for me, but I'm still toying with the idea of Tilos.

Hi Partyanne

May sound a silly question - but where is that?

Must admit the last time we were in Greece I am a bit lost as I couldn't make head nor tail out of the language ---- most languages you can sort of work bits out as they're all very similar - but Greek --- ahhhhhh

Then again after a few cocktails or glasses of whatever does it matter????

Sorry Parky, just crossed wires then and missed your post

Where is Tilos?

Sorry to sound so thick in both posts here --- my Geography is bad enough in the UK!

Tilos is a little island about half-way to Kos. You get the ferry from Rhodes for about 30 Euros. The ferry doesn't start a daily service till June, though, or I'd have slipped over in May.

Evia Island is attached to the main land by a bridge or you can cross on the ferry it is I believe the second largest Greek Islandbut only resently opened up to the British Market a lot of Greeks go there at the weekend and in the summer to get out of Athens. This was our first time in Greese but from what people said that are more well travelled it is like Greese was twenty years ago.

I always manage to be on holiday for the last two weeks of Big Brother.

I leave my poor mother a stack of blank DVDs and instructions on how, and on what date, to change the discs in the recorder.

I think I'd rather not waste my holiday evenings watching it in a bar.
