Both of these hotels are excellent. The Delphin ever so slighty better. (Lots of kiddies at the Titanic - which may or may not bother you). However, although there are shopping bazaars nearby, there are little or none in the way of bars and restaurants in the area. It is a purpose built area of luxury 5* hotels, but there is no resort centre and almost nowhere to walk to outside of the hotels.

Thanks for your reply denny.53. Can you suggest any other hotels? My sister and i do like to go for a walk in the evenings occasionally or have a change of scenery and maybe eat out the odd night, but you say that there are no bars or restaurants as this is a purpose built 5* hotel area.

We went to the Delphin Palace last august and at the same time booked for 2009. It was heaving with people, and loads of children even in the quite adults only pool. Ther was not enough umbrellas to go around, the entertainment was dire. The shops opposite the hotel are really really expensive.

I have changed my booking for 2009 to return to the Xanadu beleck. This hotel is much quieter and much better laid out, it has less people in a much larger space.

Hi Denny,
You have answered many of my questions before so wonder if you can help please - going to Lara Beach 2nd - 9th Oct this year - many weather sites say that there is quite a bit of rain at this time - any ideas ? (I dont mind a quick shower - but dont want to have to pack my wellies). Thanks x

Hi Paula. There can be a bit of rain here during October but having lived here for five years it's nothing serious.Days are still quite hot although you may require a cardi for the evening.Enjoy your holiday.

I agree with Ian (RIK). I wouldn't think for one minute you would have rain for the whole holiday. We have been in Nov before and still got a tan - although the nights were dammed cold. I personally have been in early Oct 5 times and never had a drop of rain!
The hotels are wonderful and there will be plenty to do even if you have some rain.
