Hi Millybaby,
Sorry I can't help as we're planning our first trip to Morocco next April. I was hoping maybe you could tell me when Ramadan is? Is it anywhere near Easter? Thanks

I was in Morocco during Ramadan a few years ago(Tangiers) and it was quiet during the day but after dark there was plenty of bars, shops and restaurants open.
We were on the private beach belonging to the hotel and as we walked along it my friend who had her swimming costume on and a pair of shorts was spat on by a local :yikes I dont know if this was because it was Ramadan or because she was showing more than was acceptable.
I always wear cut off trousers and a blouse or T shirt when out and about in Islamic countries during Ramadan.

We stayed stayed at the Caribbean Village Agadir in Agador last August/September during Ramadan and the hotel operated normally - alcohol served throughout our stay. It is a very nice hotel. It was the same as Tunisia in the way that women should cover up when out on the streets (tee shirt & shorts etc). The staff at the hotel were great.

We didn't venture out much but when we did, the shops / restaurants around the hotel were all open.

Enjoy your stay.

Hi Sedge - Did you venture over to the other part of the complex ie the El Pueblo Tamlelt. If you did, which in your opinion is the nicer to stay in. Thanks

We went to the pool in that area as it was quieter. From the outside both look the same but I do not know what the rooms there were like inside. You wouldnt really know there were two hotels as it looks just like one big complex.

Hope this helps - If you want to know more just ask and I will try to help.

Hi
My family (2 adults, son of 14 and daughter of 9) went in Oct 1/2 term and absolutely loved it. We stayed in the Caribbean Village Agador side - rooms are basic, but clean - everyone is soooooo friendly - entertainment is fab, but if you don't want to get involved there's quieter pools to relax by or the main "fun" one if you want entertainment - food is fine, not 5 star but you're not paying 5 star prices, our children didn't go hungry at all.
We loved it so much, we scrimped and saved to go back in Feb 1/2 term and were taken aback that 3/4 of "our" waiters remembered us and the animation crew too. Had an even better time so have started to save for Oct again!!
First time went with First Choice as a package but the flight is so cramped, went by Ryan Air and booked separately the 2nd time - more leg room on flight. Thomas Cook also do a package but to the sister hotel El Pueblo Tamlelt which is on the same site - we actually had a better room at the Tamlelt the second time we went but everything else is the same!
In my opinion you won't need to go outside the resort unless you want to experience Agadir life. I don't know about Ramadam but guess things inside the resort will remain the same.

I am sure you'll enjoy yourself - we're saving up to go again in Oct!!

Thanks Ju. We will probably book whichever of the 2 we can find availability for. The El Pueblo, won't quote us a price for next April, although it's in the brochure. I'll have a look at Ryan air flights and see what we can come up with independently. Thanks again.

Thanks for that Ju. I think that post has decided it. It's a long time until next Easter, but we're looking forward already.

Hi again Ju. When you flew with Ryanair who did you book the hotel with? Do you know if either of the 2 hotels have a website please? Thanks.

Same here. Had an excellent deal with first choice for next Easter. Thomson airways flight.

Wow - I hope you both like it there. Remember it's 3 star AI (not 5 star - think many people forget this).
I was going to suggest checking with First Choice/Thompson or Thomas Cook as Ryan Air have stopped there flights to Agadir for the time being.
Have fun

I'm sure we'll enjoy. First choice on-line state that it's a 4 star hotel eventhough they show 3 suns/circles (whatever they are). We've paid £586 pp for a week AI over Easter week - Can't beat it!!

I'll look forward to your report Millie. For those of you that have been before, are some rooms in nicer locations than others. Is it worth requesting anything special? Thanks

Are you staying in the Agador side or Tamlelt side?
How many of you are there?
I can then try to give you assistance.

Ju :cheers
