Off to Carvoeiro at the end of May to a villa with the family and am already wondering what to do about my little one. She'll be 17 months then and I guess will be off of formula milk. Is the full fat milk you get in Portugal comparable with that over here? Or should I take formula just in case?
Thanks - I'm sure this will be the first silly question of many. Never been abroad with a child before!
Only guessing, but I would think the full fat milk (Gordo) would be the equivalent of ours. If you buy it from the chilled cabinet it will be fresh milk.
Was abroad this year with a 19 month old boy. He was still on formula and we took a box of sachets of SMA Progress. When this ran out we used cartons of baby milk (Nestle) readily available in most supermarkets. It took 3 different types before we found one he liked though. Their milk as the same is in the UK more or less and the wee yin drank that okay also.

Thanks for your replies!
Milk in Portugal is exactly the same as over here. Our 18 month old had no problems with it on her breakfast flakes. We stopped giving her milk to drink at about 16 months.
Samanthatracey, do tell me what Carvoeiro is like im going in the summer, thanks Mark.
daveyjp - thanks for your reply. I didn't think that she may not be having milk by then - seems such a long way away!
