WE are a couple nearing our 60's and would like to spend Christmas in the Cascais region. We are looking for a hotel of quality (minimum 4 star) which can offer us good food (especially for Christmas lunch). We would quite like to be within walking distance of Cascais. Some form of low key entertainment would be nice but not essential, but we would like to have some fun. It would be nice to have an indoor pool but again not essential.
Can anyone advise which hotel would suit please?
Hello valerie, I have had a very nice holiday in Cascais/Estoril there is a train that runs between the two or it is a plesent walk along the sea front from one to the other. When we were there we stayed at the 3* Sana Estoril Classic but this was as good as a 4* with great sea views if you click on the web page below this will give you some good hotel to pick from under Lisbon coast, we also used this tour firm for our holiday they are very good they are part of T A P airlines.

Hi Valerie. If you wish to be there for the Christmas then I really suggest you book as soon as possible; especially this year when many are fleeing the UKs bad weather. My daughter works for this Group. You may wish to have a look at the Cascais Hotel site here.
