OK,
We're off early tomorrow morning so I'm a little late with my posting, just one question though - is the bus from the airport to Cais do Sodre and then the train to Cascais the best option - it seems cheap and reliable - or are we better getting the shuttle bus?
Any other thoughts welcome!

Hello V, yes there are three ways to get to Cascais, one is the bus you can look this up at.

If you want to get the train you will first have to get a taxi to Lisbon and get the train from Cais do Sodre station this works out at about 20 euros for the taxi and 1.50 for the train.
Or you could get a taxi to Cascais for about 30 euros, these prices are about 2 years old as this was when we last went there. In the airport you can go to a taxi office and get a fixed price coupon to Cascais as we all know what taxi drivers are like for adding a bit to the price.
