CCTV for the beaches

I've just read that the Goan police are considering installing CCTV cameras on the beaches because of the terror threat.

I may be prejudging the situation but my limited experience of Goans/Indians are that they won't be spending hours looking at terror threats!!!!

I just wonder if they would spot someone walking along wearing a suicide vest?

I bet it'll make most females sunbathing very uncomfortable!

Hi iaintwoeyes, If they ever do put cctv cameras up at the beach and i doubt it,as they cant put lighting on the beach or footpaths on main street or even keep electric most days,but if they do it will not be used to look for terrorists, it will be used to catch tourists having a fly puff behind the shacks and then charge them 200rups,

Not sure the police will want CCTV. They will not want to be filmed taking bungs from shack owners, masseurs, beach traders and anybody else that looks like they have a few rupees.
