Hi. Cerro Grande is the hill/headland to the west of Albufeira. Depending on where your villa is situated, it would take you 7-12 minutes to walk down to the Old Town and beaches, with a bit of a climb back up again! The Strip is another 20-30 minutes' walk. Taxis are very reasonable though.

In the other direction you could walk down to the Marina in about 10-15 minutes, and there are lots of beautiful coves a bit further on, although probably a bit far to walk unless you're really keen.

Look at http://www.albufeira.com/map/default.asp and you'll see the Cerro Grande area between Old Town and Marina. If you know the address of the villa you'll be able to pinpoint it fairly well.

I wouldn't settle for an area you're not sure of. There MUST be a villa company that will let to you I would keep looking if I were you and get somewhere more central if thats what you really want. There are 100's of villas around and about Albufeira, surely there will be one suitable??

Well I have gone to 3 different villa companies and they have all said they will not rent to us!! Their policy is everyone has to be over 21. We even offered to give them a double deposit so if we did break anything they could keep it but they weren't interested!

So if anyone knows of anywhere good to stay that may accept us - please could you let me know!!

We would prefer a villa rather than apartments as it works out a lot cheaper!

There will be plenty of villa site reccomendations from users of this site I'm sure. You all having to be over 21 is a bit much. Just e mail or call them 1st to enquire. I think they will be happy to get the business
