if you phone them to complain, they just say you knew the terms and conditions. We can change these flights and there is nothing you can do.
you cant even cancel without losing £270 deposit.
I will not book with balkan again and will advice other people i know what they do with regard to changing flight.

Just spoken to balkan to confirm our change of flight. this means train to newcastle and expence of staying over in newcastle hotel as morning train wouldnt get us there on time. just been told by balkan that our flight back into manchester is now being re-routed as well but she cant give me any details untill tomorrow.
am so cross what should be a relaxing time is turning into a nightmare
I am just going to check my insurance to see if we can claim our deposit back if we cancell.

I know what you mean this is the first time we have gone with Balkan I havent even travelled with them yet but I am already put off by their false advertsing

hi I am still waiting for Balkan to give me definite details of my return flight , they are still sorting out the changes or this is what they are telling me.
when i go on the Varna airport website our return flight is not even mentioned making me worry even more.

i had a flight out of east midlands on the 25th of Aug to varna
got notified of a pick up in manchester
was not happy rang up and cancelled ok full refund
im going through booking again but with a closer airport - Humberside
thought it was a one off
havnt finalised booking the holiday yet looks like i might not
will ring up and see if i can get a guarantee if not
headache finding another

who did you book with, because balkan wont let me cancell or give me a refund.
I can change to another date but there is no guarentee they wont change this flight.

We will be at Exeter for 1 hour.

Im sure the plane will love my hyperactive kids.

Balkan just phoned me to say the flight still hasnt been confirmed coming back to manchester from varna.
I want to cancell and get my deposit back, she said you cant cancell and she will phone me before next wednesday with our flight details.
twohats you must have beem lucky to get a refund.
she also checked other flights in case i change to another airport but the Leeds/ Bradford flights are now going to belfast as well so thats no good.

bit of a dilema i have just rang balkan holidays and they have confirmed
my refund in full
im in two minds whether to rebook with them
i have found the following :-
Sunny beach 2 weeks at the end of August from my local airport
in a 3.5 star apartment for 4 adults and 1 child £1831.50 all in
the thing is this they wont guarantee that this wont happen again
to be honest this has put a damper on going here i think
but its finding somewhere else with the same value
anyone got any good holidays websites?
dont know whether to bite the bullet and book or look elsewhere
any thoughts welcome

hoogie we are going on the 31st August from Liverpool and they have changed our flights via exeter so I have changed mine to go from Manchester no and it is cheaper

If so what did you say to get a refund, as all they say to me is i cant cancell because its in their terms and conditions they can change flights.

Lucy is the girl i talked to
when i originally rang she asked me to return the cancellation ticket that came with the letter
i told her i there wasnt one she said that was ok just to send an email
notifying them of the cancellation ... so i did
then rang back to confirm im waiting now for it to reappear on my credit card (can take up to 4 days she says)
the funny thing is at the bottom of my letter there looks to be a perferated
line where someone has torn the cancellation slip off maybe?
