I think it all depends on the small print and the rules of the tour operators ,you may get there stand your ground and end up on the beach .I have stayed in the marmaris palace plenty times and always found it good, the turban is next door and it has been getting some good reports and some not so good ,friends of mine stayed there three weeks ago and said it was great .As for russians you get them all over turkey now cant see any reason why there would be any more in the turban than there is in the marmaris palace .Some russians can be very nice ,but you do not have to socialise with them if you do not want to .Lots of people who come into contact with them think they are arogant and cheeky most are ,i just shrug it off untill it gets to bad and then they get as good back .loads of brits think they are guilty of going to the head of the queue and bumping into people ,but i think that is as much our fault as theirs .We travel on the left so pass on the right ,they travel on the right and pass on the left ,so when we walk towards each other we go the way we usually go and bump into each other. Same with queues ,we go from left to right ,they go from right to left ,so sometimes they go to the wrong end of the queue and it looks like they are jumping ,usually if you let them know once they dont do it again.
