We stayed in Lindos Gardens and found it to be really child friendly. It's above the town but is a pleasant stroll into town.I have seen some good deals for this particular hotel too as you probably have guests on a budget? Or if not I have read glowing reports on Lindos view with lots of wedding parties staying there and loving it. Also Lambis has great reports with really large airy rooms and a nice pool. My mum and dad are staying there at the moment and are due back wednesday so I can let you know what they thought if you like.

Have you thought about staying in villas, there are a wide selection of villas around the lindos area now, take a look at http://www.ownersdirect.co.uk or lindosvillacollections.co.uk which both have a wide selection of villas

hi thanks for all ur replies :tup

I am going to look into villas and self catering,
how ever i wanted half board really as I always stay in a villa or sc apartment and i was looking forward to not cleaning or making my bed as i tend to do!

has anyone stayed in the Lindos Princess or Ibreostar royal village as these look great for kids and are hb too?

I haven't stayed in the hotels you mention, but you will defo have to get taxi's from these places.

The Princess is next to Lardos, so your around 3 or 4 miles from Lindos, whilst the Iberostar is around 2.5 miles from Lindos.

I have passed both though.

From what I've heard they're meant to be fantastic, but I think Lindos is out the question for daily visits.

We're just back from Lindos with our 2 year old girl and it was hard going just getting to our accommodation which was situated opposite the Melenos Suites.

What about Lindos View - walked past there a couple of times when I was there in May and they appear to have a play ground within the grounds of the hotel. Very close to Lindos - well within walking distance!

Heads up about Lindos Royal Village - my family stayed there this May and most of it is not finished as it has only been an iberostar for 2 years and they are still bringing it up to scratch (looks like it will be fab when it is all done). Big warning for a mum of 2 small boys - there was NO entertainment at the hotel for the first 10 days of my families holidays (and only a few activities in the day). Might be worth checking this out - you dont want to get there and find that there is nothing on - particulaly if you have paid fr an all inclusive holiday. Also although it is within walking distance of Lindos it is quite a long way and my husband and I were shattered after we walked back to our hotel in Lindos.
