Hi everyone, there seems to be a fair bit of doom & gloom about the forum (maybe its something to do with the worldwide recession) And as there seems to be so many new members looking at the sight I thought I would drag the poem out from 2007, as a reminder of some of the lighter things we used to post.....hope you enjoy......Keith
(To the tune of winter wonderland)
Hear the waves,are you listening,
On my brow, sweat is glistening,
Cracking a beer, were glad to be here,
Winter in a Goa wonderland
Come on down, bring your cozzies,
And some spray,for the mozzies,
We are having a hoot, in Calangute,
Winter in a Goa wonderland
In the afternoon we'll hit the sunbeds,
So that we can all top up the tan,
Maybe order curry for our dinner,
Accompanied with a beer & a garlic nan
Later on we'll perspire,
As the temperature gets higher,
Santa looks out of sorts,
He should be in shorts,
Winter in a Goa wonderland.
just sung that to myself - its great, never seen it before!
thanks Keith- forgot about that one
Nice one keith, like bushbaby sung along to it really made me smile
When you are in Baga
Hear a taxi man shout
I need to make money
Let me take you out
Your first time in Goa
Well please have no fear
I know some good places
That are really quite near
You can spend all day there
And for you I'll wait
I won't charge a fortune
And I'll bring you back safe
When I see you the next day
I will call out your name
And now'cos we're best friends
We can go out again !!
Daves wife that was great, although not so great when i sung it out loud to my hubbie
Wasn't he full of Christmas cheer then Debs?
Fiona,it seems that only i think i can sing!!
At least your OH only had to hear it once - Mine has had to hear it over and over for the last two hours I had to keep changing the words to make them fit !!!!
Daves wife,i`m really impressed i didn`t realise you came up with that yourself, any chance of one to fit with "o little town of bethlehem(my favourite)
But don't hold your breath
Thanks i could do some real ear bashing with that one!
To the tune of O little town of Bethlehem
There's lots of sellers on the beach
No matter where we go
We ask the price of goods they sell
We shake our heads - Say No
But as we give them another look
The price comes down and then
We barter down to half their price
We've bought more tat again !!
Debs
Oh Debs my brain hurts now!!!
Dashing to the loo feet burning on the sand
avoiding the beach sellers oh isnt goa grand
Sitting at the shack, watching the world go by
drinking ice cold kings and eating Chilli fry.
Oh I love goa and i dont care what all the haters say
the sun and sand go hand in hand to really make my day.
The food is great and you wont wait for that table just for you.
So im on the plane to go back again its just something i have to do.

To the tune of "on my first day in goa" (On the first day of christmas)
