I am looking to do some travelling over next christmas/new year, thailand and malaysia for certain and maybe even singapore or bali. Can someone give me the lowdown on the weather over christmas / new year in these places. Can you spend christmas day on the beach?
sorry to sound a bit vague at the minute and i know that different seasons will be a factor with regards to heavy rains etc etc
but need to know if anyone has travelled over this period to give me their views on weather.
thanks

I am sure you will getting varying views on the Weather but from our experiences, and we have travelled to most of the places you suggest over the Xmas New Year period. the best weather was in Thailand, but be careful where you go in Thailand. We went to Krabi, the weather was great for 2 weeks solid, no rain at all and blue skies.
Malaysia can be a mix or rain and sun and Singapore is mainly wet at this time of the year, I think you will find the temperature is about 32 wherever you go.
You will get all sorts of comments but I always think it is luck of the draw

I'm with you Jackie - Krabi, or Phuket some of the best beaches and the weather should be very sunny. Very hot on the beaches.
Penang and Langkawi should be ok.
Singapore a mixed bag, I've spent some Christmas's there in the sun others in the rain
