I'd avoid resorts such as Protaras/Pernera, Ayia Napa and Coral Bay.

My first choice (as always!!) would be Larnaca as there is going to be much more open with it being more of a residential town. (Also, thousands of squaddies and dependants to cater for.)

Likewise Paphos and Limassol.

I think you are more likely to see the "real" cyprus as what's open will be catering more for locals.
