This hotel is located on the beach by Fig Tree Bay. My brother in law has stayed at this hotel twice so he could spend the days with us at the Capo Bay. He enjoyed this hotel very much and had everything that he needed. It's a family run hotel that seems very nice and friendly.

We've actually gone for something more central (as this is at one end of the strip) but it does look lovely.

We've found a good deal to this hotel next year. We like Protaras but haven't seen/don't remember this hotel. Any reviews i've found are a bit old but there are none at all on here. Having a 5 year old with us i'd like to make sure it's not going to be too grotty. Most people who have commented on it on other sites mention old towels and a tired hotel.

Anyone know if there's plans to update/upgrade it at all or any experience recently?

I'm going to let you down on this one as it doesn't appear on my accommodation map, from what i have gleaned it is in the fig-tree bay area
[south side of town] it is family owned and holds a CTO rating of 3 star, there are some reviews scattered around the web giving an average rate of satisfaction. the hotel has its own web site which may help

Every time we go to Cyprus, we stay at the Capo Bay. My brother in law has come along a few times and he always stays at the Chrystalla because he finds it really reasonable. He spends the days with us at the Capo Bay and always says that the Chrystalla is nice and clean and has everything he needs there. It is in an excellent location right by Fig Tree Bay and the strip and can highly recommend this hotel for good value. Hope this helps. There are some reviews on Trip Adviser.

thanks weller girl, I read what was written about your BIL before and thought it sounded promising. Unfortunately there are some bad comments too. Although we're not particularly fussy we want somewhere clean and tidy when we've got a child with us IYSWIM

I think we might just have to give it a shot, we've wanted to go back to Protaras for ages but the cost has always put us off.
