I'm off to Skiathos soon & a friend of mine has asked if I can bring him some cigarettes back home.
Being a non smoker myself would it be cheaper to buy the cigarettes in resort or at the airport when returning home or would there be not much difference in cost ?.
Thanks to anyone who can give me an answer.
hi I usualy find a supermarket and buy in resort you can save upto
Thanks.
As there is no duty free for the EU any more they will be the same price all over Greece, including the airport. Still a lot cheaper than here!
Top brands like B&H,Regal king size etc are 27 euros.
Lambert and Butler are 25 euros, cheaper brands like Leader are 15 euros.
you are limited to 3200 cigs each for your own consumption.
if the person you are buying the cigs. for is a friend why are you encouraging them to kill themself?
rdv keep your opinions to your self please
I thought this site was supposed to be for people to express their opinions, you cannot exclude peoples opinions just because you dont agree with them, thats arrogant in my opinion, perhaps the truth upsets you, sorry.
Hi rdv No i am not arrogant. yes this site is for opinions but for holidays ect buying fags perfumes gifts resorts hotels all ideas welcome but not political. and thats my opinion.
How are you purchasing.. .. credit debit card, cash.. ..
some shops do make charges for certain credit card purchases on tobacco.. ..
ref rdv.. .. slightly harsh on the wording.. ..
non-smoker in a cigarette thread.. ..
i'll say no more zzzzzziiiiiiippppppppp
Iv'e been watching this one in future PLEASE keep it clean and polite members personel addictions (or that of friends/relatives) are not for discusion in holiday forums..
Does anyone who is just back from Greece/Greek Islands know the prices of cigarettes and tobacco? We are looking for Lambert and Butler or John Player Black and also Golden Virginia. We normally go to Spain but their prices have gone up so much we thought we might try Greece for a change as we had heard their prices were cheaper!! Thanks
Hi golden virginia last year were 6 euros per 50 grams and lambert and butler were 25-26 euros for 200 so it depends on the exchange rate you get
28 or 29 euros for regal kingsize last September in Lesvos and same in Parga in July but they are made in Nottingham.
pojo
Prices should be the same anywhere in Greece as they are fixed and controlled by the government so it won't be any use trying to shop around for the best prices once you get there.
can anybody tell me the price of benson and hedges and superkings in greece please
hi, we travelled to zante last year and 200 superkings were around £18.00, benson and hedges were the same. we stayed in the resort of tsilivi so don't know if they were any different anywhere else but they were cheaper in resort than the airport.
I always thought that the price of cigarettes was governed by law in Greece and the price is printed on the packet. I've always paid the same price at the airport as in shops. Maybe the ones you bought in Tsilivi were old stock Jaime28.
Yes, I agree with Xenosuk, all cigarettes in Greece are government priced and the price is stamped on every packet.
