Are the regal, etc that are sold in ajuna market real or fakes?
and how much does 200 'real' cigarettes cost these days? eg regal or similar?
Many many fakes around so have a good look at the boxes for 'printing' clues - it's not hard to see the faults. Best place to buy (ask for good ones) is the Elephant shop in Candolim - talked about by many on here and the guy can be trusted. We have bought each year with no problems, costs are around 800rps per carton.
If they are supposed to be made in England. Looking at the flip top front on.
Carefully lift the left side stuck down panel and there should be a code number and a country of sale ie Spain if the smoking warnings are in Spanish, I think B&H are reversed the opposite panel has printers guide on it, not bought cigarettes in England for years so if the smoking warnings are in English I don't know, I would suspect if offered cheep either blag or knock off and you don't want either in your home.
Hope this helps.

Quick tip is feel the logo/shield on the pack with your nail it should be raised (embossed) fakes will be flat just printed on
or buy 20 1st smoke one and if there fake you have only lost a £1 if ok buy lots
No need to check anything.
It is the only place that I have found that you can absolutley trust for cigarettes but again as Spike said you do have to ask for the good ones.
I've also found that if you smoke Indian fags then you smoke far less. You do start to sound like Marlon Brando from The Godfather after a few hours though.
If the pack has the Health warning on the front of the pack in big letters they are fakes, the real ones have a small warning on the side of the pack.
I find the local Gold flake to be pretty much ok and a fraction of the price of the English brands.
£27.50 for one thousand
no im not drunk thats how much it cost and they took my credit card so being nice that i am i bought 4000 back with me
i take it they are the real thing from the duty free shop at the airport,i know it is a very small shop but when i had a little look in there last year im sure that the selection of ciggie's were very limited?did you recall seeing any marlboro lights in there???thanks
sharon
thanks.thats good news.we have to get a direct flight back now and was getting worried we could not get any...otherwise it would have meant buying loads in bahrain on the way out..
Watch what you are taking back the customs people in UK have been checking in coming flights again (last year was the worst) your allowance is 200 cigarettes.
we were ok last year,no problems, but i know it is random.to be honest i will buy a 1000 this year as if you are unfortunate to be stopped they still have to let you keep 200 and even though you lose 800 you are still better off than buying them in the uk
hi, does anyone know if the duty free shops in goa airport are open very early in the morning ? our flight back is leaving at 6.15 am !
the worst thing is at the airport (goa)when your bags are 1st searched they are trying to rip people off who have ciggies in there case they will try and charge you to turn a blind eye and then pocket the money.dont give into them its not illegal to take ciggarettes out of the country its just illegal to not declare them back home these guys are making a fortune
... when we were in Goa in November our flight was around 6AM and the duty free was closed ... however there is a small shop and they sell cigarettes and spirits very well priced ...so just go early when you are checked in and there should be no problem.
many thanks irishcolleen, but are the prices for the ciggies and alcohol in the little shop the same as the duty free shop ?
..deandel.yes I got my son drum tabacco,,the.50 grm pk ..they were only 3 dollers ...hubby got 3 pk of famous grouse and they cost ...15 dollers for the 3 ...cigs cost the same as duty free ... ...you know what the say about the irish and their drink ...hubby thought he was dead and went to heaven haha
How old do you need to be to bring back duty free tobacco ? only as my 16 yr old Son is with us, we were wondering if he could bring back extra for us ?
