aye mazza , fly out on the 6-15 am globespan flight on the friday , should be in hotel for about noon , checked in , and down for lunch at 1...then a wee wander to the dalmatas to meet some friends.

Hi, does anyone know of anywhere of walking distance from Alicante Airport other than the Airport that you can buy tobbacco? and if so opening hours? thanks.
There is a Eurotabaco in the grounds of the airport but at the Eurotobaco prices that you would find in resort which are cheaper than the airport shops. It's directly opposite the departure entrance but you have to cross the road as though you are going to the carpark. Hope that helps.

why when you going at what time do you think you will going back to airport.its just a normal shop ok.not Eurotabaco.and its number 1......great if you have forgotten some fags.or if you have only got say 14 in case and your weight was ok.so you can top up.
The Spanish government today agreed another tax price hike on tobacco products of 24%......the second in little over a year and hoping to raise about €780 million a year.
I'm not sure when the price hike will come into effect, but they haven't ruled out the increases being implemented either on the 2nd January at the same time the ban comes into force, or before then.

Prices have rocketed today, golden virginia was 48.5 euros now 67.5 euros and cigs up generally about 40 cents per packet, this will mean less trips to benidorm for me. John
I thought it was a bank holiday today. Which Tabacos did you find open? We just went to the one close to our apartment and it was closed for the holiday.
Not all of the products must have gone up yet! I bought some Sterling Red King Size a few days ago for €32 and they are the same price today..ive just been in the shop!

Tony got some Amber Leaf today for the same price it's been for a while, €44. The lady in the shop said that most of the others are going up tomorrow, so get in there now.
I don't smoke, so it doesn't affect me.

is there a smoking ban coming into Spain, I thought they already had one, but choose to ignore it like they do in some other european countries where smoking is banned.

Thank you, I'd heard that they'd all gone up but was just checking.. when I looked on the eurotobac site this morning, they must have been updating it because they were showing the products but not the prices..
