no you did not.you cannot buy fags on plane.going anywhere in europe.unless i am not sure if tui still do the pre order thing.but i have not flown with them for ages???

you may have if you were flying to tenerife,lanzarote,turkey etc but not to spain benidorm, malaga,algarve etc

Liquor, tobacco and pure perfume are classed as duty free items and cannot be purchased when travelling to an EU destination.

If he had travelled with TUI, you could pre-order duty free stuff before your holiday, but could only get it on the return flight back to England. :wave

No Thomson no longer offer the pre order service for tabacco and spirits....and haven't for at least a year and it could be longer.

yes my last trip was tenerife, when i went to benidorm in 2004 i defo got cigs! I was told you can send by post cigs now sounds a bit risky you could lose them has anyone done this before?

if you ever try posting them and you get caught your taking a big risk.thats the only thing with going to a none eu place.your can only bring back 200 fags,,

Hi, You can bring back 3200 cigarettes and 3kgs of Tobacco but they must be for your own personal use or for presents for family and friends.

Although in our local airport they have a notice up saying that there is no limit from within the E.U. but that you are likely to be questioned by customs if you exceed the guidelines and that you must satisfy them that they are for your own personal use and/or for family and friends.

dont know if this post belongs here or not but when buying tobbaco or other goods in eurotabac shops if you pay with switch they ask for 2.5 euros in cash? on top of the purchase price as a card charge i have never been asked to pay this before this was last week 20/05/07. :shock:

It depends which tobacos you use, the one on the front doesn't charge for cards.
The one near the indoor market charges 1% in cash up front.

Does anyone know the price of cigarettes in Benidorm - Lamber & Butler & JPS Blacks. Would it be cheaper to buy in the airport?
