i stayed at club candan in june for a week. infact i'm going back tomorrow but i'm staying at yesil hurma. club candan is lovely...very clean and i would say the nicest hotel we've ever stayed in in marmaris. It is a good walk to the main beachfront area... i would say it will take you around 15 - 20 mins to get to the bars and restaurants on beachfront....but if you don't feel upto that in the heat, there's plenty of taxi's just outside the hotel. We didn't eat much in the hotel but what we did have was absolutely fine and served with a smile. Can't complain at all. Can i recommend Natalie's Steak House and Alexandra's Ristorante on the beachfront for a wonderful meal. Service and food is out of this world. I have recommended this place loads of times and everyone has said how wonderful it is. Have a great time and i'm sure you will fall in love with marmaris just like the rest of us have.

Just 3 weeks today and we`ll be in sunny (hopefully) Marmaris staying at the club Candan. Has anyone stayed here with young children (mine are 4 and 5) if so wot are the kids club and evening entertainment like. Also any suggestions were else to go with a young family in the evenings r welcome,ta.

Hi Rich. We will probably be there at same time if you are there for 2 weeks as we are off on the 19th. We went to the Club Candan last year and the kids loved it. They didn't actually use the kids club as they are a bit older than yours ( 14 & 11 ) and couldn't tear themselves away from the pool. My friends daughter did use the kids club and enjoyed it, It is downstairs in the hotel so nice and cool in the afternoons. Allthough we did eat in the hotel restaurant a couple of times we didn't really see any of the entertainment as we went out most evenings. All in all loved this hotel, thats why we are back again this year !!!

I'm jealous that you are off so soon! A few months till we go. Please could you try and get an email or telephone number for these apartments. I need to check the location of 2 bed aparts and a few other details regarding disabled access. Thomson say everything will be sorted on arrival but on previous experience its better to speak direct have a great time

We went to Club Candan May Spring Bank holiday last year, and brought back a souvenier - Archie Luke Fisher, born 2 March 2008 so no Turkey holidays for us this year
Welshlass - The 2 bedroom apts are all situated at the end of each floor, we had a nosey in the one next door to our room - they are HUGE!
Rich - Our then 3 year old used the kids club a couple of times, the reps were lovely. We also went on the Thomson Boat trip, more expensive than the ones you can buy outside, but the kids reps were on board, so the kids were kept happy all day - definitely worth the extra money.

If i remember the prices right from last year ( and i should do really as i bought enough !! ) i think the efes was 5 lira in the hotel bar and about 3.5 lira outside.

after a great trip to Club Candan in June 06 (I posted on feedback back then), I'm now thinking of another trip again next year in 09. i know! talk about booking in advance

i'll be booking through Portland again, but can anyone give me some tips on when is the best time to book for the cheapest price and ensuring availability? I know that booking as late as possible can pay off but don't want to take that risk, however I don't want to book too far in advance that I'm paying more than I should.

would appreciate a rough guide on how early to book please

oh, and has market day changed will be looking forward to some bargains
