We are not hiring a car either. hoping to use the shuttle or cabs although ive heard the I Ride trolley is quite good too.
Was the hotel in a good location, whats near to eat eatery wise??? any idea what time the pool is open to at night????
any suggestions on places to eat/drink much appreciated.
we have booked our attraction tickets and are waiting for them to arrive at the moment.
did you go to clearwater beach??? just something im thinking of doing.
Also, if its not to nosey lol, who did you travel with. We are travelling with Travel City Direct and im just wondering if they plug the usual excursions whilst you are there???? and if any of them were worth doing????
as i said, any info on hotel, surrounding area, places to eat etc would be appreciated.
counting down now - just over 6 weeks to go!!!!!!
Cabs are pretty cheap to be honest it costs roughly $8 to go to downtown disney.
The I drive trolley doesn't come as far down as this hotel I didn't use it at all.
The Black Angus steakhouse just 5min walk down the road is a really good place to eat as it is really good value for money and the food is really nice too.
For pizza, a couple of mins down the road is CICI's pizza which is $4.89 to eat all that you want.
The hotel is in a fantastic location. Also at the bottom of the road on the other side is a 7eleven (fuel station) which you can pretty much buy everything you need in there i.e. water, crisps etc at a least half the price of the hotel shop!!
I went with Virgin, and No I didn't do clearwater, because there is so much to do I didn't get time.

Laura this is going to sound like a stupid question but does the Cici pizza bar do a salad too - like our pizza hut????
does anyone know if the Ponderosa and Sizzlers are near this hotel?????
yeah CICI's do salad, pasta, pizza and pudding! (which was lush)
I def know there was a sizzlers down past 7eleven on the right...and the breakfast is muffins, donuts, ceral and toast...but you can pay $8 for a hot buffet breakfast which is ok.

Enjoy.
kids are driving me mad now to try cicis and my hubby the ponderosa lol. think we may well come back a bit heavier than when we left lol.
i didnt realise you could do that - i shall give it a try today while the kids are at school and i can look in peace.
Definitely go to Ponderosa for the all you can eat buffet. They are a family "steakhouse" but I never buy the steak, just get the buffet and you have all the salads, breads, veggies and desserts you can handle for a set price. Drinks extra. All drink refills are free though..
