So excited paid for hols yesterday, so just the countdown, 8 weeks to go
Virgin to all this but i have to ask, Ive read recent reviews on the Concorde and they really dont look good. Please tell me the evening entertainment is as it specifies-good, and that they get in outside entertainers. I dont mind the entertainment team doing their bit as long as its good.
Please reasure me that Ive not made a bad decision coming here-please!!
Maria
When i went they got people in from the outside as well as here own you will love it at this hotel.
Haven't read many bad reviews, but I do think you have to go with an open mind.
When you going?
We are going 25th May for 1 week and as you said, going with open mind and looking forward to it. Do you know if they have any good markets to go to?
Maria
Hi Marie. There are two Markets not far from Concorde. The Friday one is at Ãâ€ΕΎÃ…¾ÃƒÂ¼zelöba 10 minutes by DolmuÅŸ.The other is on a Saturday, 20 minutes away and again on the Dolmus route. This one is very large indeed. The driver will tell you where to get off if you ask him.
were outside entertainers brought in, magicians, "circus", etc. On other nights there were shows
put on by the animators, Mr Concorde, Miss Concorde, dancing competition, etc. Also there is a disco/night club
that go's on till about 2am. When we were there we had a choice from 5 a la carte restaurants, you can make a meal
last as long as it takes. Probably all 6 a la cartes will be open now, enjoy.
hi all we`re going to concorde for my sisters 50th so really hope its worth the wait, we go 17th june is there much for my 7 yr old to do is the entertainment suitable for her
You will love it !!
can anyone of you helpful people tell me what the rooms are like here
oh sorry forgot to ask is there enough sunbeds to go round for size of the hotel
Pammie, plenty of space in the rooms, including wardrobe and drawer space. We were there over Easter, the hotel was full during the first week and there were loads of sunbeds available. You'll love it, enjoy
Are there any shops in or around the hotel and if so am I right in saying euros are best. weve just got Liras!
Cant wait to go the market too!!
Maria ( thesmiths )
hi all
There are some shops in the hotel but they are expensive. Across the road there are some shops and if you walk down the road to the left there is a bizzar (sp) everything is priced in euros however all you do is double the lira and thats the euro. We always take lira as its better exchange rate. Always haggle the price you can get it alot cheaper.
You have one massive pool then you have a smaller round one with seats in and off that one is a few jacuzzi's then you have the small slide pool with 3 slides. The kids club have there own fenced off one. They give you pool towels every day at the hut so no need to take towels. Any more questions just ask. If you look at my post a few pages back ive put some photos in a link.
The rooms look a bit strange with a window in the bathroom overoloking the bedroom, is there a curtain to pull across?
Yes there is a curtain they have a speaker in there two if you want to watch tv in the bath lol. Wish i was going back. When do you go? we are off to the Alba Queen 20th may.
That sounds fab, We are going July 2nd counting down the weeks
