When we went for a tour of the Concorde we asked the guest services about branded drinks because they were advertised in the brochure and like I said she spoke with the barman and he pointed to some but they were not on display! We only go to hotels with decent drinks because it is important to us, but we do not want to pay any extra for them! Even at hotels where they are clearly displayed unless you say the name like Smirmoff you usually get the local drinks! Surprising how many people do not know this! At our last hotel a couple had been drinking the local vodka for 10 days because they thought they would be charged for the good stuff!!! Ask when you get there what is included! The Limak where we are going for a second time has a list of the included drinks.

Speeny boy, you are most welcome!
We are off for a week at october half term to Beldibi, flying in to Antalya. Staying at another great 5 star AI hotel !! We love the quality of the hotels in the Antalya area of Turkey!

Spenny Boy, Lara is not really a pictureque resort but people go for the fantastic hotels has a great beach and lovely views to the mountains! There will be snow on them at easter but yet you will be sunbathing on the beach! You will have to go to Antalya for some serious shopping because the shops are expensive in Lara, You will need to go on a trip to the Mangavat waterfalls. The harbour area is reputed to be very nice in Antalya and there is a museum there! I have to say that we have been many times to Lara, and Belek and never ventured in to Antalya! We are however going to go on this trip in October! We go with good intentions but the hotels offer so much that it is hard to get our son to go out and about! He is now old enough and it is safe enough to leave him in bed and go, so fingers crossed we will go this time! The rep will have tours but there are tours available cheaper in the resort!I would go to the welcome meeting just to get some advice about getting out and about!

Hi All

We have been to this hotel before at the end of September and the weather was beautiful. We are returning on the 9th March for a week (4 adults) and was wondering what the weather would be like and if all of the hotel facilities/activities will be available.

I would also be interested in advice on car hire for a couple of days and places you would suggest visiting in the area.

Thanks in advance.

Janet :)

jwynne12,

Welcome onboard :tup
You'll find weather information on our WEATHER: reports, news, Q&As topic. March can be a little unsettled at times and see some rain and storms. There's plenty of sun as well though! The average temperature for March is 17C with an annual range of 12-25C in March.

hi going here july this year..
Regarding the dress code I know it's been mentioned smart, does that mean long trousers for men in the evening? Think my 15 yr old will hate that if it is :(
And what about men's shoes, are sandals ok? nice flip flops?

We saw men in cropped trousers on a eve, flip flops are fine. You will have a really nice time wish it was me again :(

Hi,

Looking to go to the Nergis Select Hotel, Marmaris early May '10 on an All Inc deal.

I've read reviews which mainly good, Re location, rooms, pool etc, just food seems to be an issue for some people, saying it is the same thing every meal, so if on AI it would get boring, although we are only going for 1 week in May.

Can anyone offer advice about the food & drinks available at the Select, and can you still use the facilities, restaurant, bars etc at the sister hotel the Nergis Beach Club which is also on AI ???

Any advice would be appreciated as hoping to get this sorted soon.

Thanks

Ray

Yes, just make sure you have your socket adapter though (two round pins).
