You need Lira not Euro's.Don't know about ATM Machines but there are a couple in the next village up the road towards Antalya.---Örnekköy.Would cost about 10TL in a Taxi.

If you take sterling ask your rep there exchange rate its best around. Infact thinking about it i never saw anywhere to change money. I went to turkey in june ( coaliki) other party we went to got lira in the uk and got 2.42 we got ours of thomas cook rep and got 2.65 try and get it around the weekend too you get a better rate. Everything at Lara is euro but just double the euro and that is the lira price. Any more questions just ask.

I agree with Liana, most prices in Lara beach are in Euro's, due to the amount of european visitors. But you could use anything - Lira, Euro's, Stirling or even Dollars.!! There are plenty of exchange places and ATM's on the main road that the Concorde is situated on.
Have a great holiday,it's a great hotel.

I am just back from the Royal Wings and it's 3 hotels along the strip from the Concorde (which looked fab by the way).

There is 2 atm's outside the big red hotel (think it was the Delphin Palace) and also one in the designer shopping mall directly across the road from the Royal Wings!!

I withdrew Euros as everywhere gave you the price in Euro and if you where paying in Lira then they just doubled it i.e. 7 euro = 14 TL

Have a great holiday

Aii Inclusive is local brands of Gin, Vodka.Ultra All Inclusive is International brands eg.Gordons / johnnie walker. The last time we were at Concorde we left the bar around midnight and others were still sat there.

Are there any little bars on this road, or is it just shops?

Have been to Side and like to escape hotel and go for local drinks...... just to not feel like a deluxe prisoner

Hi Perfume. There are no bars as such but there are one or two Restaurants where you are able to just buy a drink. It's not a dump as somebody posted It's all new and things take time to build up.

I'm afraid that was me, who described Lara Beach as a dump, and I stick to my description! Others have called it 'downtown Beirut'. It really isn't the sort of place you would want to go for a drink. It totally lacks any sort of charm. It consists of a busy dual carriageway, lined with tower blocks of flats. Not like Side, which we liked very much, when we stayed there. It is best if you stay inside your hotel and just emerge to go into Antalya or on excursions. In fact, if I were you, I would just go into Antalya when you feel like escaping. The old harbour area there is very nice for a meal or a drink.

Escape from what exactly??? The beach in Lara is nice and wide and sandy with lots of watersports if you wish. The view to the mountains is very nice but yes you could be anywhere but believe it or not, lots of people are very happy with that! The hotels more than make up for the "real Turkey" What suits you is fine, and if you want to go to a property like Lykia world where you have to watch what you have for fear of racking up a huge bill then fine and if the view is worth than then fine! But why call what does not suit you a dump??? The packed hotels would tell you otherwise and the number of repeat guests! Once in your little Oasis you want for nothing and for most that is all they want! No one is saying Lara is pretty but once in the hotel you do not see any of what you describe. No need to feel ripped off either because you pay upfront and know exactly what you are getting!

I was referring to Perfume's expressed desire to escape occasionally! I do not dispute that when you are inside your hotel you cannot see the area! Merely answering perfume's question! No need to take offence. I did not say the hotels were dumps, just the outside area. Go back to perfume's post! I also didn't say you had to go to Lykia World! I said I liked Side and Antalya.
